Beschreibung Das Erlebnis - Klangkunstwerk "Round table" wurde von Wolfram DER Spyra Im Frühjahr 1997 realisiert. - Es besteht aus einem Tisch (Design: Matthias Rexforth) mit 4-6 Sitzplätzen, in dessen Mitte ein Kunstkopf eingebaut ist (das ist ein hochwertiges Mikrofon in Form eines menschlichen Kopfes) . Darüber werden Umweltgeräusche und Sprache aufgenommen, die dann einer elektronischen Bearbeitung unterzogen werden. Die durch Effekte wie Hall, Delay, Tonhöhenverschiebung, Echos usw. verfremdeten Geräusche werden über schalldichte Kopfhörer wiedergegeben. Das technische Verfahren dazu (Portable ambient sound System) wurde von Wolfram DER Spyra erfunden und ist beim Deutschen Patentamt als Patent Nr.19743354 und als Gebrauchsmuster geschützt. Der "Round table" wurde erstmalig im Rahmenprogramm der "documenta X" der ÖffentlIchkeit vorgestellt. Ca. 10 000 Menschen, u.a. viele Prominente, haben dieses Klangkunstwerk kennengelernt, d.h. sie haben selbst an diesem Tisch gesessen und haben sprechend die außergewöhnliche Funktion des Kunstwerkes erfahren. In einem Gästebuch, welches während der Ausstellung auslag, wurde der ‚Round Table‚ von vielen Besuchern als "das beste und interessanteste Kunstwerk der gesamten documenta X" bezeichnet. Seitdem wurde das Kunstwerk bei diversen Events und Ausstellungen gezeigt; u.a. im Kasseler Kulturbahnhof, in der Hamburger Markthalle, bei einer Ausstellung der Hamburger Agentur AP Lintas und im renommierten "Institute 01 contemporary arts" in London. Das System wurde in verschiedenen therapeutischen Praxen im Rahmen der Prozeßdiagnostik eingesetzt. Dabei haben sich wesentliche therapeutische Aspekte gezeigt, die für sich genommen neue Dimensionen therapeutischer Vorgehensweisen und Konzeptionen in Aussicht stellen.
description The sound installation "Round table" was built by Wolfram DER Spyra in spring 1997. It is a communication place for five people, offering them alltogether the absolute unique and stunning effects like the patent-pended "P. A. S. S. - System. Its skeleton consists of a massive round steel plate with four legs (Design: Matthias Rexforth). The plate has a diameter of 1,10 meters. In its middle , there is a dummy head - microphone that receives the sounds of the surrounding area, especially the voices of the people sitting around the table. All these sounds are changed by a very special multi - effect unit and passed on to the users`ears via sound - proof headphones. Using a remote-control, it is possible to choose among ten different effects (such as reverbation, delay, pitch shifter, reverse, distortion and so on). The Round table was first shown in the local support programme of the documenta X. More than 10.000 people have experienced this work of art and its extraordinary effect on their aural reception. In a guest book, many visitors described the Round table as the "best and most interesting work of art of the whole documenta X". Since then, it travelled around Germany and Europe to be part of several art exhibitions, but also to stimulate the communication on public- and techno-events.
